About us
McCarrs is a charming day and night venue set in the lush bushland of Ku-ring-gai, just a short drive from Sydney’s CBD. It is celebrated for seasonal, honest food and exceptional service, with a sense of community at heart. Led by husband-and-wife team, Tom and Claudia Eadie, the site celebrates mornings, lunch & dinner through intentional, simple and home-style food and drink.
Its offerings remain diverse and dynamic; mornings in the garden of coffee, baked goods and breads, made-to-order sandwiches and carefully curated pantry staples, market fresh produce & flowers from the General Store; a converted shipping container and caravan on site.
At the restaurant, a Meditteranean leaning menu is inspired by Tom and Claudia’s mutual appreciation for simplicity and seasonal cooking, along with delicious cocktails and a carefully selected wine-list favouring small-producers. “We believe in honest cooking, keeping our ingredients as close to their natural state as possible. We use a lot of herbs from our own garden and try to source the best ingredients where possible” says Claudia. Produce is sourced as locally and sustainably as possible, including native ingredients & a push for locals to bring in their back yard produce.
“We’re captivated by the natural beauty of McCarrs Creek,” Tom says. “Having grown up in the area, it feels natural to be cooking and supporting our local community. The space has an effortless charm—tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There’s a deep sense of pride in serving honest, good food here.”
We look forward to welcoming you soon,
Tom & Claudia Eadie
